I hadn't made it 4 hours until I lost something - my passport. By now, 48 hours into Paris, I've already lost my bag and my voice. I found my bag, and caught a mean case of pink eye. However, despite all these minor upsets, Im having the time of my life. Today, I tasted true French cuisine when I ordered escargot; I savored every last one. I may look like an American tourist to natives, but I already feel like a true Parisian. I strutted the Latin Quarter today sporting a fedora (something I could not pull in Kinston, NC) and boots, tasting snails and trying on scarves and bracelets in crowded shops along the way. While touring Notre Dame and catching a glimpse of the famous Mona Lisa are incredible sights to behold, I have to admit that the shopping sights can be just as incredible to behold as well, as my memory card can attest to. Everything is so new and different; I feel like a baby so new to the world here, but I love it! The congested streets, the European cars, the beautiful and unique architecture, and the fashion are so foreign to me. France is incredible, providing interesting factiods and awesome history with every turn I take. I can't wait to see what Paris has to surprise me tomorrow.
Great pictures! So glad that you are getting some because Sarah said she isn't taking many.
